Stroke accounted for 34 percent of the 4.3 million global deaths from kitchen air pollution in 2012, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and coronary artery disease were 22 percent and 26 percent, respectively, and lung cancer accounted for about 6 percent of deaths, according to the W.H.O. report.
Air Pollution in the kitchen has been listed as the biggest health risk after high blood pressure, smoking and heavy drinking in a study to assess the risk of disease in the Lancet. More people die each year from inhaling fumes from kitchen fires than from malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS combined.
A study of Chinese farmers in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute in the United States also confirms the health effects of air pollution in the kitchen. Chinese and American scientists who took part in the study surveyed more than 20,000 farmers in Yunnan Province and found that farmers who did not have ventilation equipment in their stoves at home were more likely to develop lung cancer, about twice as many farmers as those who have added chimneys or ventilation to their homes. Using an unventilated stove is about as likely to cause lung cancer as smoking, researchers say.
Air Purifier is also known as a product that can absorb, decompose or transform various air pollutants (generally including PM2.5, dust, pollen, odors, decoration pollution such as Formaldehyde, bacteria, allergens, etc.) to improve air cleanliness, mainly used in home, commercial, industrial, building.
